Yahuwah, how majestic is Your Name

and it came to be in the days of Sovereign Shelemoh, and there came to be shalom in the land

and a family was in the city Anatot, next to wadi Prat, in the land of Binyamin

and the family had a father, mother, a son, and a daughter

the name of the son was Mi'kha'el, and the name of the daughter was Mikhal

they were herders of a flock on all the hills

and Mi'kha'el and Mikhal walked about in the evening, with the flock, next to wadi Prat

And the sun came (down) and there was darkness in the wadi-valley

and the cliffs stood to the right and left

and the stars appeared in the sky one by one

and Mikhal lifted her eyes, and behold,

the moon, stars, and red clouds were in the sky

and the flock drank water from the wadi

and Mi'kha'el and Mikhal sat on stones next to the flock

and Mikhal said to Yahuwah in her heart,

"Behold, all these things in the sky, and the cliffs,

"I am smaller than all of them.

"Yahuwah, what am I that You remember me?"

and Mi'kha'el said to Yahuwah in his heart,

"Yahuwah, how majestic is Your Name in all the earth,

"that You would put your splendor over the sky.

"I am only a small boy in Your earth.

"What am I, that You would visit/take account of me?"

"and what am I, that you would give me favor/loving-commitment,

"and You have given me a good family and Your Torah, too.

"What am I in Your eyes?"

and Mi'kha'el and Mikhal got up to return home with the flock

because the evening was "walking and darkening" (getting darker)

and the moon went down, behind the cliff

and the darkness grew much greater in the wadi valley

and Mi'ka'el and Mikhal stood together

and they both feared

and Mi'kha'el asked, "What will we do?"

"We aren't able to go to our home, because there isn't light.

"We have to guard the flock.

"What will we do?"

and Mikhal looked to the left and the right

and she said to Mi'kha'el

"Look! A cave is there!"

They both went with the flock into the inside/back of the cave

and they slept

and it was the middle of the night, and they heard a strong voice outside!

and they didn't know where the voice was from

and Mi'kha'el said, "Maybe the voice is from a bear!"

and Mikhal said, "maybe the voice is from a lion!"

and Mi'kha'el and Mikhal feared

and they said in their hearts to Yahuwah,

"Save us, Yahuwah, from the voice that's outside,

"the day is Your's, and the night is Your's too,

"and we have remembered Your Name in the night."

and the voice called out near the entrance of the cave!

and the voice called out,

"My son, my daughter! Where are you? Is there peace to you? ("are you OK, whole, complete")

"My son, my daughter! Where are you?"

and Mi'kha'el and Mikhal heard their father's voice!

and they ran to him!

and Mi'kha'el, Mikhal, and the flock came out of the cave entrance

and they walked with their father, next to the wadi, to return to their house

and dawn came to be in the valley

and the sun shone

and they told their father everything that had happened

and the father said to Yahuwah in his heart,

"From the mouths of little children and nursing babies You established strength,

Yahuwah our Master, how majestic is Your Name in all the earth.

Shepherds still water their flocks from the wadi, and there are caves in the cliffs along the valley (En Prat Nature Reserve)

the stream is fed by springs scattered along the canyon
