A creature with snakes as hair and the ability to turn anyone who looked at it to stone.

A woman with wings who lives on rocks in the sea and the ability to make people drown themselves by hearing its singing.

People who live underwater.
Basilisk
A creature born from a chicken egg hatched underneath a toad. It can kill by looking straight into a living's eyes.
Unicorn
A creature with a horn that has medicinal properties. By drinking its silver blood, someone will become immortal.
Alicorn
A unicorn with wings, a mix between a unicorn and a pegasus.

Kelpie
A shapeshifter that is usually in the form of a black horse. It lives underwater and will drown anyone who tries to ride it.

A large creature with the ability to breathe fire.
Water sprite
Also called a water fairy, it is the spirit of water.

A gigantic creature with tentacles that is dangerous to sailors as it can very easily drown ships when angry.

Also called the forest fairy, it is the spirit or soul of trees and other wood in forests.

Half chicken and half dragon, it also jeeps the ability to breathe fire.

Bird that has the ability to heals small wounds with its tears. It turns to ash when it has to die and is then reborn from those ashes.
Ghoul
A creature that is associated with demons, originating in pre-islamic Arabian religion.
Banshee
A woman which can sense a person's death.
Thunderbird
A bird of supernatural strength and power.
Werewolf
A person that turns into a wolf on every full moon due to the sickness called lycanthropy.
Hippocampus
A horse with a fish's tail.

Originating from the Himalayas. It is a huge ape that lives in cold weather eat just about anything.

A horse with the head and wings of an eagle.
Loch Ness Monster
A large creature with a long neck resembling a plesiosaur.

Small humanoids skilled in mining and metal working.

Woodland creatures with magical powers and supernatural beauty

Creature that represents depression and can suck out souls from humans by giving the dementor's kiss, leaving behind an empty shell, worse than death.
Animagus
A human that can change to animal form at will, however it can only change into one animal, and cannot choose which.

Small wand wood tree guardian that can become aggressive towards someone who attacks its tree.
Doxy
Small creature covered in black or dark blue hair with beetle like wings. Also known as the biting fairy.
Erumpent
An African beasts resembling a rhino with a horn that contains an explosive fluid. Some in the magical world doubt its existence.
Golden snidget
Small golden bird with fully rotational wings. It was known for its use in Quidditch, but eventually got replaced by the golden snitch.

A creature similar to cats with large ears and a tail that resembles that of a lion.
House elfs
Types of elves are that are to serve wizard families and are only set free is given clothes by their master.
Poltergeist
Loud and mischievous ghost that hasn't ever really lived.
